Congratulations Rob, you have been one of our most memorable athletes at S.C.T.B.C.

With a background of Kickboxing, it didn't take long for Rob to use his size & compete against the best in Muaythai. Quick off the mark with powerful moves Rob soon became our State & Aussie Champ. Always one to say he was retiring after each event, Rob kept training & competing until he finally won his titles. Rob can still been seen around our gym on the odd occasion training with our younger guys & girls.

Well done big fellow & enjoy your so called retirement.

TRAINERS THOUGHTS

Aaron's Muaythai career stated in 1990 & lasted through till 2002. One of the most memorable fights was with Jason "Supercharge" Vemoa from NZ for the South Pacific Title, it was a war. These 2 went at it from start to finish, pride of 2 Country's on the line. What a great fight.

Aaron is the wildest man I have trained. He came into our Sunshine Coast Thai Boxing Gym at 16yrs. He had his first fight & ended up on the wrong end of a much older Athlete, with that I thought he wouldn't return to train, but to our surprise he returned the next day with Black eye's & his words were "teach me to fight Joe". Aaron trained like a demon & he had great knee & grappling skills he would destroy anyone who came close & had such a determination to win. Aaron was very aggresive he wanted to win & with that took out most of his opponents.

Kris was around 15 years of age when he arrived at S.C.T.B.C. & Joe teamed him up with himself on his first training night & straight away knew Kris wanted to compete. Kris trained hard & always willing to learn everything he could regarding Muaythai. Kris had style, aggression, patience, toughness & most of all the "Want to Win".

We would be honoured if Kris makes a return to Muaythai in the near future, our door is always opened.

Travis Elson being the younger brother of Warren has fought some great fights. Travis came to the gym with Warren at the tender age of 12 & had a big heart that just wanted to mix it with the big athletes. It wasn't long & Travis was competing & winning titles.

It was sad to see Travis finish his career so early.

All the best with your family & work.

Don't under estimate Ross's ability. He is a powerhouse and has taken a few by surprise. Some people are saying Ross is a young Warren Elson with the same build and similar styles. Ross has endless talent and if he chose to come back and compete he would still be one of the best athletes. Ross spent a lot of his time competing in Thailand amongst the best Thai athletes.

Enjoy your time travelling.
